1. Information we collect

When you create a Lotwise account, we collect:

• Personal details: First name, last name, phone number
• Identity information: National Identification Number (NIN)
• Financial details: Bank name, account number, account holder name
• Authentication: Email address and password

When you use the platform, we also collect usage data including pages visited, investment activity, and referral interactions.

2. How we use your information

Your information is used to:

• Create and manage your investment account
• Process investment transactions via Paystack
• Verify your identity for compliance purposes
• Process withdrawals to your registered bank account
• Send transaction confirmations and investment updates
• Track referral programme activity
• Improve the platform and user experience

3. Data storage and processing

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a managed database platform with enterprise-grade security. Authentication tokens are encrypted. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

Payment processing is handled by Paystack, a PCI DSS-compliant payment processor licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria. Lotwise does not store your card details.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Your data may be shared only with:

• Paystack: For processing payments and verifying transactions
• Resend: For delivering transactional emails (receipts, updates, notifications)
• Legal authorities: When required by Nigerian law or regulation

5. Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security policies on our database, and regular security reviews.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent for non-essential data processing

7. Cookies

Lotwise uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We also use a cookie to store referral codes from shared links. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
